Nope! Didn't have the problem with my gen 1 before my G2 either.

I have had it happen with my Canon 24-105L but only when pointed straight down or while carrying it hanging on a strap. And it didn't start until I had had it for years with a LOT of use wearing the bearing surfaces inside the lens. I still use the lens and it takes great images. I just avoid pointing the camera straight down.

I have a Siggy that's creepy when pointed downy.

Hey maybe I should try some shoots pointed straight up. Maybe my Canny will become creepy looking uppy. And maybe I will get a crick in my neck looking up like that.

My G2 works without issue on my D5600 and my D780.
Only shoot it freehand occasionally. Usually on Bi-pod or Tri-pod.
The ability to select different focus ranges on the lens Allows AF to lock quickly on target. IMHO

Has any one had any experience with a issue called focus jumping or creeping? I've look at numerous reviews and it has come up numerous times.

The 150-600 G2 may focus hunt in low light, but many other factors may affect focus hunting in all lenses like shooting a bird through branches...may be fixed with a firmware update via the TAP-in console (highly recommended!). I have not had an issue with it. I've taken pics at night in Times Square of a tightrope walker 25 floors up @600mm from the street, handheld with VC on. Generally though, this is a "sunny day" lens.

Thanks. The angry photographer did not give a very glowing review of it. I have seen the focus jumping issue mentioned more than once. That's Tamron in case any one was wondering.

He can be a little tuff on equipment reviews (hence , no one sends him equipment for testing anymore). You have to look at the price point vs a 400/600 f4 prime.

Tammy is a nick name for Tamron.

I thought Tamara was the nickname for Tamron or if in a Hispanic country, Tamale. Guess not.

Have a nice day.

I've had my Tamron 150-600mm G2 mounted on my Nikon D500 since November of 2016 95% of the time, and no focusing issues whatsoever (other than shooting in "available darkness")!! No complaints here!!

Trom does have a 6 yr warranty and their turn around time was hood. As a bonus they will fine tune your lens to a camera body one time. Great if you don't to fine tune it yourself. Send both in for that. If you use different bodies might be issue so pick a body.
If this is a widely known defect hopefully they should have a fix for it. I have the G2 that I bought with my first $1200 stimulus check. Thank you taxpayers for my free lens
