Thank you.....by the way I love your Province. My mon was from Toronto and I still have a lot of family in Ontario. I was in Montreal before the holidays and I loved Quebec City.

Why, thank you very much, coj....I live across the river from Québec City, St-Jean-Chrysostome

QC is a magical place, my little taste of Europe close to home. Lovely buildings, incredible food offerings. I think if I lived there I would get really fat!!

Excellent, does she shoot also?

Not as much as me, but she has a good eye for wildlife and animals in general, dogs, cats, etc.

Very nice shot, reminds me of Bosque del Apache. You would think there would be mid-air collisions but they seem to avoid those quite well.

The other day I visited via a mile and a half hike an area where snow geese gather for the winter. When something spooks them, and a flock leaves the water it's a sight to be seen. I tried to recreate that in the next images. View the downloads. The tools used are a Nikon D500, a Nikon 200-500mm prime zoom with a 1.4X teleconverter, and a Gitzo tripod with a Waverly gimbal.

Great set! Reminds of the Sacramento Refuge in my youth. Thanx for sharing.

Great shots coj. Two years ago I went to Whitesbog NJ to attempt to see them, but the majority had already left the bogs to go further north. There was even a great presentation about the snow geese before we treked out to the bogs to see them. But as I said, the had already left the area. So I said to myself "I'll get them next year".
