The other day I visited via a mile and a half hike an area where snow geese gather for the winter. When something spooks them, and a flock leaves the water it's a sight to be seen. I tried to recreate that in the next images. View the downloads. The tools used are a Nikon D500, a Nikon 200-500mm prime zoom with a 1.4X teleconverter, and a Gitzo tripod with a Waverly gimbal.
They should be heading up here in a month, maybe....great captures, coj

Thank you - I call the lens that because Nikon does, having a fixed aperture I guess is the logic behind that.

Thank you.....by the way I love your Province. My mon was from Toronto and I still have a lot of family in Ontario. I was in Montreal before the holidays and I loved Quebec City.
