Thoughts and prayers to his family and all his friends. Jeff former CT resident.
Devastated by this sad news. Since I live in the same area, I always hoped that I would run into Brent someday while out shooting pictures. Sincere condolences to his family, friends and acquaintances.

Very sorry to hear that news. I wrote to Brent after seeing some of his spectacular images of the Blue Angels flying demo team and he came straight back with some very helpful tips and information. He was an excellent photographer that's for sure and I believe he mentioned that his son had followed his passion. If so what a fantastic role model to have. RIP.

A gentleman. I feel such sadness for his family. He never failed to respond to comments I made on his wonderful posts. Always gracious, always kind. He captured surfers and the sea with wonderful talent. His work was unique. I will miss you friend.

Here is a sunset I took at Huntington Beach back in 2019. I was in California on a work trip and because of some shots of Brent's I saw of this beach, I brought my camera and was lucky enough to get a decent sunset and a surfer! While I was taking shots that night I knew I would be sending them in and when I did I thanked Brent for the inspiration.
I am so sorry to hear this. I enjoyed seeing his world through the lens he used to share it with us.

I am both stunned, and saddened by his passing! I too, thoroughly enjoyed both his commentary, and photography. While we never met, he was most kind in his posts. I have been missing his postings. I visited Huntington beach one time, 1992. Scanned from film, the old Huntington Beach pier. I really liked how he spoke of his family. His love showing thru his words. Meet you on the other side!
I'm so sorry to hear of Brent's passing. He was an exceptionally nice person. Before Covid, we got together and went out to San Onofre and Huntington a few times to shoot surfing pictures. But we lost touch during the covid. Here are a few images from those outings. May he rest in peace.
OMG! I am absolutely gut wrenched over this news. I just went to the beach today and posted a few photos and then I see this. I had no idea Brent was ill and passed, and was just thinking of him this afternoon as I shot away at the passing gulls that circled overhead. As many have said, he was a superb man and very easy to approach. He was an artist of highest order. May his work live on and I will always think of him anytime I see waves breaking and surfers doing their thing. His is now an angel over the waves.

Unfortunately, our UHH friend passed away last Thursday, from covid. As a tribute to Brent I think it would be a nice gesture to share one or more of your favorite ocean-themed photos. I don't think many of us could equal the beautiful shots that Brent shared, but perhaps we could share ours with his family. R.I.P. Brent and God bless your family.
Thank you Ava'sPapa for starting this tribute.
I've been a long time fan of Brent's images of "Surf City's" action and street photography. I will miss his posts.
Attached is a photo taken from Palos Verdes looking North-ish over Santa Monica Bay. Surfers (little dots on the water) below. Includes Torrance Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and down town LA in the distant haze.
My sincere condolences to Brent's family and friends.

It is sad to hear about this loss of a wonderful photographer. Brent always made me think of surfing so here are a few pictures of surfing the Third Coast.
Some nice shots from Corpus Christi! Great job.

Great shots, especially of the surfer and pelican occupying the same frame 💙💎💙💎💙
