I won't say what you all are who don't understand my original simple comment. The management wants this all to be civil. Since calling ME "weak brained" passed inspection several times,---I am free to call anybody not understanding that I know I have old browsers--the same. BUT THE OLD BROWSER ACCESSED EVERYTHING ON UHH UNTIL A WEEK AGO. Now only my updating browser called MYPAL is the only one of my five which can see right off the in line photos and the lineup of icons. Got it. Yes, my Mozilla Firefox--SeaMonkey, Opera, and UC Browsers are not updating. They read sites fine which do not have special merchandising security or special video condecs. Yes I got that. I don't need you all to inform me of that. The fact remains that changes have been made to the programing behind the UHH site. And the wise-acre who is the programmer---tell us what they did---if you can???-------- (And the remark---I have some DOS programs from the eighties and nineties---WAS UNCALLED FOR!---------

Changes have been made, and they will continue to be made, at every site.

Knowing what changes they made in the coding will help how???
Are you going to write code to circumvent the changes?

As for the reference to my old software, It fits right in with the discussion.
I simply stated that I have old software also, as you did. Some apps I had to flat-out upgrade because they would not run on my new (at the time) Win 7 box.
Not like you are not discussing old software, I mean XP is passe now, and your "OLD BROWSER".
Didn't CP/M run on the IMSAI-8080?

Hang in there, the software changes are just going to get worse as more sites incorporate new methodologies.
(I've seen oh so many changes since I started programming in 1972.)

By the way, my phone will no longer update the OS, Firefox, and a handful of other apps. You know, it has an outdated OS, like XP is outdated.
Someday I suppose I'll get a new phone, and, the camera will also be better than the one in the S-III.
Until then, I'll live with what it does, or doesn't do.

Face it----your comment that you have some DOS programs were to make fun of my remarks about the changes in the UHH scripting. And you were comparing 1980s and1990s software with browsers updated to 2018. If you were actually serious in your jibe---than I retract my criticism. And my following crack was in keeping with your snide crack about DOS. By the way---my CPM was on my Zenith. Then I programmed my securities Broker Dealer firm in DBase2,which, of course was DOS based. But that was in 1990. It has been contended that Bill Gates took CPM and turned it into DOS and formed his company on Papa's money. His family also had influence with IBM and landed the contract with them---and the rest is history. Now Gates and other Silicon Valley and Media billionaires rule the world and politics!------- ------------------------

Serious.
You inferred that they were to make fun.

I LOVED DOS, I had complete control of my computer with DOS, kept loosing some control with each Windows update...

In 1977/78 I was designing my own 8080 based computer. My wife asked "Why?".
I replied "So I can have my own computer. Just wait, in a few years they'll be all over the place like pocket calculators."
She replied "Nah!".

But I didn't have a garage to build it in...........
I should have had a garage.....
And money...

Condecs, do you mean codecs? Also what is special merchandising security? I know of SSL, which is basically the defacto encryption most sites use instead of unencrypted HTTP traffic.

Either update your outdated stuff or stop throwing random terms around. You have great advice on a longer term fix, if you don't like it, say thank you and move on. At the end of the day, it's still you and not the site devs.

HAVE YOU HEARD OF A TYPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do probably more video with codecs than you so keep your remarks about typos to yourself. As for merchandising security---you are the expert---I don't have to give the lingo---that is up to you. But one by one sites I purchase from no longer would go to checkout with a full basket of items. I call that merchandising security. You can label it anything you like. That only happened--one by one in a few months last year. But I make my purchases from Walmart, Swanson Supplements, Amazon and the others which changed their scripting using the MYPAL browser now. Three cheers for XP-Pro-SP3 and Panasonic Toughbook laptops which never crash or go bad.-----ew

It's SSL encryption, and ALL sites are slowly migrating to it, not just commerce. So <broken record> upgrade your stuff or be left out. It's that easy.

"Maybe not just commerce" (you say) ------but in my situation I can navigate---Walmart--Swanson--Amazon and the others and fill the baskets---but only at checkout do the "buttons having to do with checkout and payment" don't register. Everything else not needing commercial security works just fine with my not-updated browsers. But I then log in with the MYPAL browser to check out.

You are what I call an untrainable asset. We used to recycle those to deck division in the Navy and just let them paint for the rest of their enlistment. You have not understood a single thing any of us have tried to explain, so have fun eating crayons.

I presume in your old age you have given up reading altogether? Do you have your nurse do your bidding on UHH since it is apparent you have gone nearly blind. I wish you well in the nursing home---seriously--that would be the best decision for this phase of your life symptoms and comprehension? But don't take these words harshly---I didn't take notice of your snarky remarks above---I just expected them from the likes of disruptors like you and a few other trolls on this site. Have a good evening. Good health to you in a nursing home.------

I'm not even close to retirement age yet, but I'll give you credit for trying. I would leave emojis, but you may not see them depending on which browser you use.
