Ahhhh, the Karmann Ghia. Classic styling that still looks modern today. I lusted for one of those for years. That example shown may rekindle that desire. Very nice photographs, Kim!

From the "godan1 Collection".

Someone asked about VWs, so I included a few here. No way I can tell the year on them unless it's specifically stated. The last two are from my own photos, one from a local car show, and the last one was a VW a friend of mine painted herself, from back in 1977.

Thanks for your shots of the '61 Pontiacs. The Catalina is also a bubbletop. Both are shod with the greatest wheels ever to come out of Detroit! Don't get a chance to see these often today. The hubs are permanent while the wheels are actually only the rims. No other manufacturer or division used them.

Beautiful cars. My first was a 1961 Pontiac Bonneyville convertible.

Loved those Bugs. After getting out of Army in 1965 I bought one every three years. I also had a 1967 Karmann Ghia. Great handling car on the curves. Really like your series of cars. And your shooting of them also wickedly good.

More great shots. My folks had a new Lincoln sedan about every year of the 1960's. Loved the suicide rear doors. I asked about the VWs. Great shots. Really love the Ghia and the Bus.

Great memories! My fav is the “Winnie Wagon,” not so much the car, but the quaint 60’s vibe background that evoked a warm wash of beautiful memories of a gentler era in time… Thank-you. Cheers!

Love the '61 Pontiac "Bubbletops", probably one of my favorite Pontiacs of all time!

Wrong year, but it look a lot like the one JFK was in when he was assassinated.

I love that Continental! One big slab of steel.

The Continental looks so formal to me, I can picture guys in tuxes and gals in formal dresses getting into or out of that car.
