That mountain's just a couple of miles from my home in Apache Junction. I especially like to watch it change colors as the setting sun lights up that western front. The locals say "When the mountain turns pink, it's time for a drink".

That’s a beautiful photo!

I have never shot in the Superstitions--need to do that the next time I get out there--maybe this fall.

A beautiful photograph for sure.

If only you could have cut down that pesky tree thing on the left quarter which is a distraction. I suppose the state of Arizona wants it left alone though.

I take a different view. The tree is part what is natural to that particular setting, which overall is beautiful. I am glad he did not remove any vegetation to alter what was there. Nice capture. Frank

Good for you please beware of the Chola Cactus. The Chola are the ones that look fuzzy. They reproduce by attaching themselves to animals that get too close. There spines can even penetrate hiking boots and are very painful to get off your skin.

I forget the name of the plant but I believe that it produces red flowers and they can also be used to plant in your (Arizona) land to keep people out.
