Thanks Bob. I think any number of people from across the country and from both sides of the political aisle would agree. Millions of people who voted for Biden are now asking themselves, What have I done to my country. Hopefully the midterm elections will help rectify the situation. Hopefully if the GOP can grow a set of balls 2024 will have a happy ending.

Dennis

Is that your problem with the VP and whoever Biden will put on SCOTUS, they don't have balls?

You are of course correct. The President can nominate his choice. But I think the injustice is Biden and it might appear, the Democrats are in a seeming frenzy to nominate a black female first with appropriate qualifications coming second. Conservatives are saying that qualifications should come first over race and sex. To say a black female is a priority IS racist in nature. If a Conservative President said, white female the Left would scream racism and MLK would be spinning in his grave.

Interesting comment from someone who would have gladly given James Earl Ray a lesson on which firearm and ammo was best for the job.

How could you not know it? That you don't explains much.

You guys are really sad. Reagan once said that he was going to nominate a woman for the Supreme Court and there wasn't any outroar from the Republican'ts.
For the record, yes Biden said that he was going to nominate a Black woman, but he also said, and I quote: " The person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience, and integrity.

no one is as sad as you, gutter boy

Why won't these lying hypocrite Lefties in here admit that what Biden said was discrimination? They all revert back to "OH! but Reagan did the same thing" tactic. If ANY employer said and did the same thing, they would be sued and possible lose their business license. Not to mention the Lefties would call for that businesses boycott.

Because they want to use the logic of,
"Just because it happened in the past it's ok."
Of course that only applies to the things that they support.

You're pretty much alone on that thought. Educated citizens know that diversity is needed and so do politicians.

What does diversity have to do with “the law”... nothing !!! and educated people know and inderstand that.

Look at the statues in front of the court.
One side is the contemplation of justice and other side is Guardian or Authority of Law.

Further look at lady justice

We’re talking about the selection process. Politicians are reacting to organizations and constituents who want diversity. The diversity has to come with qualifications to rule on the values you listed after they’re nominated, vetted, and confirmed.

Yeah! What color is she? That's what's most important in 2022.
Edit: and perhaps her sexual orientation and preferred pronouns?

Name even one VP who was chosen because they were best able to take over if the President were no longer capable of fulfilling his oath of office. Was Quayle? Was Palin? Was Johnson? Johnson was very capable, but that isn't why he was selected to be VP? Do you have a white male in mind who is more qualified than any of the possibilities we see talked about? Do you doubt that a black, or a woman, or a black woman could be the most qualified?

That's not the issue. The point is that Biden painted himself into the "racist" corner by limiting himself to the most qualified black woman. If he truly wants the most qualified to sit on the SCOTUS, then wouldn't it be logical for him to consider ALL candidates in the pool? Asian, Hispanic, Black, White, whatever? There's no question that the women he is considering have high qualifications, at least on paper, but isn't it possible that someone in the pool might actually be more qualified than his best black nominee? He should look at the entire field of candidates, not limit himself to a narrow range of black women. He obviously doesn't or didn't understand the optics of his approach.

Consider this: Trump made his Supreme Court decisions based on the concept of finding the people that were, "constitulists"...... people who would make their decisions based on the Constitution. Biden is basing his decision on gender and skin color. Which criteria makes the most sense to you? And why? Which criteria is best for this nation? And why? Which criteria would do the most to bring the nation together? Which criteria would do the most to tear it apart?

If you had to make a decision which medical profession would do the best to save your child life would you base it on skin color and gender or experience, skill and ability? Right now we need the best people possible to save this nation and it doesn't matter if it happens to be a transgender albino.......EXPERIENCE, ABILITY AND ALlEGIANCE TO THE CONSTITUTION is all that matters.

In line six the phrase "medical profession" should read: medical professional. Sorry about that.

He obviously doesn't or didn't understand the optics of his approach.

Recall that Biden was floundering in the primaries, finishing 4th in Iowa, 5th in New Hampshire and a distant 2nd in Nevada.

Biden had to make the SCOTUS appointee promise that was demanded by James Clyburn in exchange for Clyburn's endorsement, which was required in order to secure the black vote and win the South Carolina primary, which in turn led to Biden's winning the Democratic Party nomination.

A 47-year politician, Biden knew exactly what he was doing.

So then you would agree that Reagan was wrong also?
Or does your outrage only apply to people you don't like?
