Biden does it again to the disgust of not only the right but some on the left as well!

I'm a conservative and did not v**e for Joe but at the same time was tired of the antics of Trump. Early on Joe came across as a moderate, good family man and I felt if he was elected it wouldn't be horrible. Then he did something that showed me a lot about him that was to me a red f**g and totally against good judgement and totally about gaining power. He announced he would put a woman on the ticket as his running mate, not to choose the person who would do the best job, but one who would bring in the v**es of women and b****s. Now he has done the same thing again in announcing a choice for the Supreme Court. To me the only criteria for making these appointments is to choose the BEST candidate period, not the best person of a certain color or g****r. This is just stupid thinking --- why would you turn down better qualified people because they weren't the right color or g****r! Conservatives, listen to me -- we have to flip the Senate at mid-terms and two years later we need to bum-rush the present administration out of Washington.

I agree with you that Trump did have his share of antics. But looking back I would take Trump back in a heartbeat, maybe even a NY Minute to get rid of the clown show known as the Biden Presidency. Everything he does seems to be done ONLY to bring America down. It is a continuation of the Obama policies only more so with respect to bringing America to her knees. Many people v**ed for Obama, put up with Obama only because he was black. That point goes right along with your main point, V**e for the most qualified and not anything else. There are millions of people in America and any number of qualified applicants for ANY position within any color, sexual orientation, wh**ever. But to say outright that a black woman should be chosen to fill a SCOTUS position is nothing more than outright R****M.

And r****m not for personal belief, but for bolstering power, plain and simple.

You forget that Biden's pronouncement would only be r****t if made by a conservative or Republican.

Biden has a long history of making terrible choices, why would he stop now? Just look at his terrible unqualified pick for VP, that should have been the red f**g from the start.

Personally, I don't think the VP choice was Biden's. It was, probably, forced on him in order to garner v**es. It's what the party wanted.

You guys are really sad. Reagan once said that he was going to nominate a woman for the Supreme Court and there wasn't any outroar from the Republican'ts.
For the record, yes Biden said that he was going to nominate a Black woman, but he also said, and I quote: " The person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience, and integrity.

Which it didn't garner much v**es based on that decision, which he didn't need anyway. He would have had better chances with Michelle Obama as VP, or maybe as SCJ now.

His quote about nominating ONLY a black women nullifies any other quote.

To pander to a certain demographic in order to get v**es and be elected.
They all do it, to one extent or another. Just usually not so blatantly.

In this specific case, it was to pander to Jim Clyburn in order to win his endorsement for the South Carolina primary, which Biden won, and is widely credited with reversing Biden's losing streak and winning him the nomination.

According to at least one report, Clyburn went backstage during a break in the debate on Feb 2, telling Biden "Look, I told you that I wanted you to say that you were going to name a Black woman to the Supreme Court. You haven’t done it yet. You’ve had a bunch of opportunities. Don’t you dare leave this stage without doing it."

There is no such thing as "the best" candidate for any position. There are generally dozens of extremely qualified people to choose from. Deciding to pick a woman and proceeding from there is no big deal to me.

And if you think these two decisions are the worst ones Biden has made...then you have not been paying attention!

Well of course. That goes without saying. Glad you said it though.
