In my continued research...lol...I find that both Holzknoddl and Räuchermänner are both translated to "smoking men"/incense burners. I just can't seem to find out what the difference between the two. Will accept any knowledge relating to.
I only find "Holzknoddl" on the Käthe Wolfart in Rothenburg site. I have known Räuchermänner since earliest childhood and have NEVER heard anyone refer to them as Holzknoddl. I can't find the term in the German Wikipedia, nor the German-English dictionary, nor the German slang dictionary, nor any reference to the word except from Käthe Wolfart. It doesn't even make sense, given the translation of "wood dumpling", whereas "Räuchermänner" is perfectly descriptive. They originated in the mid 1800's in the Saxon region near the border with the Czech Rep. in what is known as the "Erzgebirge" (ore mts). So, maybe we have to ask Käthe Wolfart where the term Holzknoddl comes from.

Think Holzknoddel might be a tradename. Least...that's what I'm gonna run with. Sticking with Räuchermänner.

How #2 brings back memories. Picked up a beautiful girl in Brussels just after the liberation (sept 1944). Having a quiet drink together when she says"Excuse please I go for a piss". It put me right off :D
Thank-you Baz...it was fun and informative. Ready for the next one.
Most have been answered correctly - so i won't waste my finger banging keys - The Eden Project I support and have been there in what was once a China-Clay Pit before they turned it into the ecological study area now. The place in Cornwall is called Saint. Austell, Cornwall. Cheers! Linuxfanatik

Hi linixfanatik, thank you yr comment.
I took the "where is Eden Project" location from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Eden Project - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
St Blazey, Cornwall, UK: Coordinates: Coordinates: Completed: May 2000: Opening: 17 March ... Paul Spooner: The Revenge of the Green Planet: The Eden Project Book of ...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden_Project -
If the location I used from there is incorrect then I stand corrected. If needs be I will inform those that answered my pic's post & inform them of any change to their individual positions.
I'm sure they will see & take yr comment in to consideration & will contact me.
Baz
Baz...the "china clay pit" referred to in the previous comment is to the type of earthen clay(Kaolin/Kaolinite) found there. China as in ceramic dinnerware, not the country.
