Just thought I'd fill y'all in...anyone interested in the question of
"Holzknoddl" or Räuchermänner. Received this from a representative from the company Christmas In Germany. "The name “Holzknoddl” is a nickname Harold Wohlfahrt was given while in college. Mr Wohlfahrt practiced the art of woodturning, woodcarving and hand painting wooden items. After creating unique designs and sharing the pieces with other students they nicknamed him, Holzknoddl which means “one who tinkers with wood”. Years later when searching for an appropriate name for the Kathe Wohlfahrt original designs of smokers, the nickname became the official name Kathe Wohlfahrt Holzknoddl.".

Just thought y'all might like to know.
