You definitely got "THE LOOK" in the first shot. Great work! You've got a lot more patience than me.

Thanks!

Good work. It looks like your new gear is working well with you.

I met up with a group in Necedah at the Petenwell dam to shoot. The eagles had other plans, so we only had two. Wildlife photography sure takes a lot of patience. By the time the sun came out, the eagles were gone. Waited 2.5 hours, but no luck. The R5 performed admirably in 12 degree temps. It was so dark and gloomy out, the in flight image was ISO5000. Ugh, at least I got something!

Great captures!!! I also shoot with the R5 and love it. Would you tell me if you were using the new RF 600mm lens and what was your aperture settings was?? Thank you, again great captures, and bird as well as any wild life photography you need patients.

Thank you! I was using the RF 100-500 and was at F7.1, 1/1600s. The head on shot was f7.1, ISO3200, 1/500s. With that one I was able to bring the ss down because it was a bird on a stick instead of a bird in flight.

Thank you! Feels strange switching systems, but the R5 seems to do it’s best to make it an effortless change.
