Hope all had a wonderful holiday, Happy New to all my UHH friends. Apologies for my absence, Omicron has visited us and well it's been a heck of a 10 days. Everyone seems to be coming around now so for that we are Thankful!

We finally decided to buy an OSV pass to drive on the beach at Assateague so I am really looking forward to exploring the southern portion of the island, which remains undeveloped. There are lots of horses that don't come into the developed areas as well as old abandoned structures and wildlife galore! I can't wait to share all of our new adventures with you all. Here are a few from this weekends outing.
Hope all had a wonderful holiday, Happy New to all... (show quote)

These are all wonderful! Especially love the fox!

Pat I just love these, so creative! You know I'm not a Photoshop fan so maybe I'll seek out that FB page and give it a whirl!

He's a good teacher and makes all the notes available. A very talented man. He's an Adobe rep and has been doing Friday Night Photoshop for 15 years.

Wonderful series of a historic gem. Hope the renovation does it proud.
👍👍👍

Thanks! They seem really committed to preserving it more than anything so that’s great.

This year's Christmas project started out as two 8.5x11 pieces of birch plywood per child. The results were pretty impressive!

Larry, thanks for hosting another free sunday. Freezing rain falling here at the present. I have a few but I'll start with these - fake flowers, real snow (taken in our Friday storm). #2 is an iPhone image processed with snapseed and DistressedFX app "just for fun"

pg. 1

Very pretty against the snow.

Good historical picture. My husband has stories of visiting villages like this when he was in Thailand in the early '70s.

Good Morning! I hope everyone is safe, warm and well! I took these Christmas Day at a friend’s historic house here in North Carolina. It was built in the late 1700’s. They don’t live in this house but are beginning some preservation/restoration things. They decorated it for Christmas for a family gathering on Christmas night. It’s a very interesting place with a lot of history attached to it.

pg. 1

Excellent set! Is the house being restored as an eventual residence or is it going to be a museum? In any case preserving these old homes is preserving history!

The other thing I tried this week was doing some Polar Coordinates - in Photoshop. There is a FB group "Friday Night Photoshop" and every Friday night the instructor goes over some aspect of PS - a program I have but find not very intuitive. (the group is public but you have to ask to join and the sessions are free - there are options to record, or view prior classes/topics "on demand")

pg. 2

Really cool application! I have yet to do anything in PS.
