Nice shots but the diesel locos do not have the charisma that those smoke belching engines do.
Heres a few I have already posted for the "Newbies"

Here is Glen's train a few miles up the line passing through Pinole Ca. heading for Crockett Ca. We have taken this train to Sacramento several times. Wonderful scenery...Bill

A steam locomotive that came through Montana a few years ago, supposedly it had been the last commercially operating Steam freight engine ion the US before its restoration. It certainly was an impressive sight. Unfortunately, I took a new Sony Mavica digital camera I had just bought that recorded straight to CD's. Needless to say it was the last Sony camera I ever bought. Hope you enjoy the pics though.

Here is one most of you have never seen or ever will see.
These were built for the Iyo Railway in Matsuyama, Japan in 1907. The steam power was
converted to diesel and they now run as streetcars, towing small passenger cars.
An interesting operation is how they turn around without a turntable on dead end tracks.
If anyone is interested, I'll dig up the photos and post them.

Count me in as being interested. That sounds too good to pass up. Thanks, Tom.

Did you get that for Christmas? It brings back memories of when I was a kid waking up on Christmas morning to find a Lionel train set running around the Christmas tree. That is a beautiful model you have there.

My son got it several years ago for Christmas, and I put it out every year.
I had the Walbash Canon ball from Lionel when I was a child. Wish I still had it. Yeah, brings back memories.
