Both Alaska. First one is Old No. 52 on a side track just on the outskirts of Skagway. The second is the train ride in the original(?) cars of the White Pass RR.
Alaska was a (photographic) blast.

Well, that's one of the trains. That's actually an old RR line, but it's kind of like a ride.
If you want some suggestions about Alaska, let me know. We took a cruise out of Vancouver, BC.
Dont know much about these but they were taken at Doncaster in England and the rest in Hastings, Sussex, my home town.
Photo #3 The locomotive was called The Mallard and held the record for the fastest steam locomotive in the world, 126 mph > I had the pleasue of riding for a few miles on it. I was about 15 years old.
Brings back memories as I used to stand on the bridge over the tracks and get enveloped in smoke. I got a beating when I went home covered in soot.
