Some GM cars of 1940 from the "godan1 Collection".
Nice. The first car I owned was a 1947 4 door Plymouth. I was in the Marines and I bought it from a retiring Master Gunnery Sargent for $125.00 it had 75,000 miles. Armstrong steering. By the by, it looked nothing like those cars.
Great set - love this vintage!
I reckon they are all as ugly as sin... except the the Chev and Buick... which are just acceptable in my eyes.
Not a bad job with the photography though... nice exposures.
I've never been much of an automobile enthusiast, but I really enjoy your old car posts. Keep them coming.
Really nice set of photos again. I have to mention that all these cars have running boards, a phenomenon that is long gone except for owners adding them to their pickup trucks today. Another thing I used to want in all my cars was "vent wings" like these have. Those are all gone too now, but since the advent of air conditioning, are no longer needed anyway. Thanks for a great old group of those photos.
Beautiful images KT - well done!

More stylized automotive design beauty. Old vehicles very striking in their lines and trim. Thanks for sharing.
Question: Do any of these cars offer a hand crank for starting the motor? I remember my father using a hand crank for this purpose.
I had a vintage ca1960 Sunbeam Alpine that could be started with a hand crank.
