Animal control complaint UPDATE

Back in Sept I contacted out Animal Control concerning 5 horses that were put in the pasture by my house that were starved to the point that they would not make it without help. They finally charged the women and have her in custody!! Yaaaaaa! And the horses are doing good, I have seen the horses and they look healthy and happy now. The Flathead Animal Control still has custody of all the horses until the case is closed. The horses are being housed at the local fairgrounds and at one of the horse farms that volunteered to house the worse ones that needed shelter for the winter.

Hi Cindy,
A great outcome for the horses for sure. I read the article and there is no mention as to why she starved the horses.
What was the issue? Lack of resources or something else?

I feel that this human animal, (she doesn't deserve being called a human being) should share the same fate that she put those horses through. Starve her till she nearly dies.

I used to feel there should be a special place in hell for those who abuse the helpless, whether animals or people. I still feel terribly angry when I hear of this type of abuse, and I'm delighted that the horses are being cared for. As I've gotten older, though, experience has taught me that these folks are often damaged or helpless themselves.

So glad you for involved Cindy. As a former horse owner for 40 years, I cannot understand why someone would have animals they are not willing or able to care for. I think sometimes our animals ate better(and ate more nutritious feed) than my wife & I did. Animals are kinda like kids. Don’t have either unless one is able or willing to care for them properly.
