I wonder if any of you idiots are aware that US hospitals are being paid more than 39,000 dollars, for each and every "patient" who dies of C19?
Maybe the term Mengele jab is even more appropriate in the US?
As usual, you are wrong. Which is why you never provide any references for your sources of information.
But to educate anyone who might read your post and actually believe it, here are the facts:
Medicare and other insurance pay hospitals based on what illness(es) the patient has that required treatment.
Medicare typically pays hospitals about $13,000 to treat a patient with pneumonia, and up to $39,000 or so if the patient is severely ill with respiratory failure and needs a ventilator.
Further note that Medicare typically reimburses hospitals about half of what private insurance would pay.
Covid-19 patients cost more to care for, due to the need for more rigorous isolation, extra PPE, often longer duration of care, etc. etc.
So the CARES act provided that Medicare will pay an extra 20% on top of the usual reimbursement a hospital would ordinarily receive, to cover the higher cost to care for Covid-19.
The CARES act also provided that Medicare will pay $13,000 up to $39,000 if patient requires ventilator, for the hospital to provide care to uninsured Covid patients. Normally hospitals would be paid zero for uninsured patients.
For patients with private insurance, hospitals are paid by the insurance company, the CARES act does not apply, and Medicare does not pay any part.
