Shipping delays…..

Our USPS, UPS and FedEx drivers are all wonderful! Online Christmas shopping for 10 grandkids, 8 adult kids, hubby and dog with only two delays, both the fault of the shippers.

I recently ordered three items from the exchange. The large item was shipped fedex from MS after the vendor gave it them. The other two items were small items and were sent from seaside ca by USPS. I have been tracking it and it made it as far as Lathrop CA to the distribution center Then they sent it back to the Los Angles distribution. This has been going on for 14 days now. Lathrop is about 30 miles from me. If I don't receive it my Monday I am going to to post office and see if they can give me a reasonable explanation of why it has taken over 14 days to travel over 300 miles.

The delay isn't necessarily Fedex's fault. Many of the shippers who ship through Fedex are actually using a system in which FedEx delivers to the nearest post office, which is responsible for the last mile. So, check which shipment method is actually being used by the shipper. Many use Fedex to post office, then USPS finishes the job--becuse it's cheaper.

In my experience, the only delay problems I have are when the USPS gets involved.

In St. Paul,Mn we have a FedEx delivery driver that likes to lie about making deliveries. Claims he is at a delivery and the person was not home. When the security tape at the time the driver states he was at the location had no vehicle at that address. This tape was shown to the drivers manager and the personnel manager result driver still works for FedEx, drives the same route and does the same things as before and have not fired him yet. This driver is a non American born person and FedEx doesn't want to get struck with a discrimination suit for a worker that is not doing his job.

Ordered 500 sheets of matte photo paper from Red River (in Texas) on Tuesday with "Ground Shipping," the cheapest alternative. It arrived in St. Louis today, Friday, by FedEx. I count that as stunning performance for basic service, especially at this time of year.

I ordered some notebooks. Seller said shipped to arrive mid November. They never arrived so called seller and he shipped me more in Mid Dec.
Guess what. got both packages. The same day and time.

Everything pretty good here in SW Ohio. Has anyone considered the effect on Amazon with one of their large distribution centers flattened last weekend by the tornadoes in western Kentucky?

I live within 15 miles of that facility and saw no change in the timeliness of two Amazon deliveries that were ordered - and arrived - this week. But that may just be a function of what I ordered and where it's normally stocked.

I was suppose to receive a shipment from B&H photo on Thursday from FedEx. Shipment arrived at the Roseville,Mn terminal and was loaded on truck Thursday morning at 235am. So far have not received this next day priority shipment from FedEx. Was told by them it may be delivered by the 22nd of the month and told them it was a priority next day package not a regular 5 day service package. Took the tracking number and told me that they made the mistake and will try to get it to me before Tuesday. So far still have not received it but received a survey on the company's service and performance on this shipment which I did fill out and send back to them with a negative response on there performance. Waiting for there feedback from headquarters when they get this but I probably will not hear nothing back.
