I use E-Z Ink ordered from Amazon in my Canon PIXMA MX92. No issues whatsoever and I’m pleased with the results.

Does anybody have experience, good or bad, with the 1ink.com inks for Canon PIXMA series printers? Much cheaper than Canon ink, which I have used exclusively. Print longevity?

Technically you are correct. Please note my use of the work "threatening." Having said that, they will deny warranty claims all day long for using non-OME inks. Throw the law at them all you want, they don't care. Balance the cost of fighting them and their resources and the cost of a lawyer vs the cost of a new printer.

Also notice how the warranties are worded. They always say "use of other inks MAY void your warranty." The use of the word "may" is a small technicality but it gets them around the law.

It really comes down to the warranty problem. If it’s unrelated to the printheads the ink doesn’t matter but an issue with the printheads they can probably blame the ink even if it’s not.
I still use 3rd party ink.

AS I have said in the past, you spent thousands on equipment, hours of time learning, processing and taking the pictures and now that the picture is to the point of showing it from a good photo printer you will cut corners on the ink. The printer manufacture will engineer in to it's printer the exact use of the ink manufactured to fit that printer and at the culmination of you work, to show the world, you cut corners. WHY?

Regardless who I buy third party ink from, it's always a gamble. Sometimes they work, and sometimes the printer says there no ink available - both HP and Canon. The last non-worker gladly refunded my purchase.

YES! I have a Canon Pixma printer, and I use 1ink exclusively. I have found them to be very reliable and the ink containers do not clog my pixma printer. Now, I do not say it will work with your printer... but it does with mine and I am satisfied.
This is my input, now you need to decide.

The PIXMA line of Canon printers often retail for $150 or less. It doesn’t take long for the cost of the ink to more than offset the cost of the printer, especially when a full set of cartridges sell for $70 plus. If the ink does no harm and meets the user”s needs, why wouldn’t he/she chose non-oem ink?

I have HP printers. I used a generic ink once. NEVER AGAIN! It messed up my whole printer. And I had a bear of a time getting it fixed.

I have used 1ink.com in my Canon Pixma TS 9020 with out any problems except FADE. 1ink worked fine good results; no clogging or drying-out. We also have a Canon Pixma TS5020 that uses same ink. The 5020 isn't used a lot and still have had no drying-out problem. The 9020 is used daily. Because of the fading I now also use Precision Colors too. I think they fade too just not as quickly as 1ink. I did some fade testing last year and shared my results with UHH. You can check that out under Dave65.

Hello--I had to scrap two Canon Pixmas Mx by using 3rd. party inks. Beware and be careful. Good luck. If this means anything I use 3rd. party inks for two years on my Brother MfC-J985DW bought from CompandSave. If you wish, give them a look.

Another vote for LD. Have used them for years in Pixma printers. The rare problem, a bad cartridge, gets replaced immediately. I also had ink from a previous printer not good for my new one. They have me the credit for them.
