I just installed 2022 at the $59 price. I was using Elements 14 with NIK (free version) and Topaz Studio and Denoise as plug-ins. I figured for the price, it's nice to have updated software. I had a little difficulty getting the plug-ins to sync with the new version, but after a little searching on the internet, they work fine. I've resisted updating the NIK collection from DxO since the free Google version works so well.

I’d stick with 2015 unless you want to dive deeper into layers and such. I use 2014 and don’t have a need to go any further. At some point if you get a new camera 2015 may not recognize it’s RAW files and you’d have to upgrade for that.

I have Elements 12 - doesn't recognize RAW files from 6D MKll

I upgraded from 9 to 14 in December 2013, and I still haven't plumbed the depths of PSE. The Camera RAW update (or explanation) from 9 to 14 was welcomed. I won't update to 2022 until I absolutely need to.

That's one of the reasons PSE updates every year, to capture support for new camera RAW files since the last update. It's also a reason the Adobe subscription model exists, always updated for newly released cameras for an ongoing monthly payment.

It's also the reason Adobe offers their DNG conversion tool for free to convert any new RAW files into an Adobe agnostic DNG format that all the Adobe editors can open.

Don't do much post work beyond a tweak here and there but got an offering via Email for Adobe PSE 22 @ $59. At that price I wouldn't have to use it much to get a good return on a small investment. Anyone using it who would care to comment on the newest version? The last I have is 2015.

I don't have or know anything about PSE 2022, but have used PSE of various years from '07 to presently using 2019. My feelings are that paying $60 for an excellent stand alone that has a learning curve but will be useful for another several years, I wouldn't pass it up. The new app would still do everything the older one does and more, so the learning curve is not that steep.

B&H was selling it at that price or you could also get the video editing program in a combo pack for $89.00

If 2014 works for you, Great. I like the features in the newer Elements. If you don't need them, stay where you are.
The old versions don't support my cameras, and besides, the camera raw is much better.

If you buy it at a retailer, any return options are probably non-existent. You usually get the choice of a download redemption code or a box with disks. The boxed set will have disks and licenses for both Mac and PC. Your license is for two computers so you can use both.

If you buy it direct from Adobe, via download, you have return options to 30 days. You still get to use it on two computers but they have to be of the same operating system.
