Don't do much post work beyond a tweak here and there but got an offering via Email for Adobe PSE 22 @ $59. At that price I wouldn't have to use it much to get a good return on a small investment. Anyone using it who would care to comment on the newest version? The last I have is 2015.

That is a GREAT price for Adobe Elements '22. I still use '14 and it along with NIK is working fine for me.

However, anyone looking for a great Post-Work, inexpensive alternative to PS, really should consider this offer!! One of the very best at a discount price!! Not monthly...you would own this one!!

Always - hopefully as long as I live! Winter out here, when it is a tough one, provides plenty of indoors time.

I have version 9 Elements that I really prefer. A couple years ago I got version 15 - it was totally different as far as brightness and color controls - it does have a few more bells and whistles tho. - so I always start basic PP with 9 and then if there is some newer bell or whistle that I might need I open 15.
So, going from 15 to 22 might be totally different as it was from 9 to 15 ......8-(

Thank you! As little as I have used the older versions, from a practical standpoint, there will be no baggage. It will just be a New experience. Square one.

Yes, they are now offering PSE 2022 at the holiday sale price ($59.99 actually).

An even better deal is to get the Photoshop Elements AND Premiere Elements bundle for $90. That's $45 per program, which normally sell for $100 each if bought separately or $150 for both in the bundle.

Of course, that's only if you need to work both with still photos and with videos.

Adobe has comparisons of the different version features on their website, so you can see what's been added.

Besides new and improved features, perhaps the main benefit of a newer version would be it's ability to work directly with newer cameras' RAW files.

Thanks, in this case "the cobbler will stick to his last". Except for brief use of video for family and teaching sports several decades ago, (both efforts less successful than expected), I stick to still photography. You are correct $59.99.

I have the 2022 version installed but not used it. Is there anything I can check for you? Since I have the real Photoshop as part of Lightroom plan, I tend toward using that.

The sale price of $60 is good. Better might be getting with the video editor, Premiere Elements. Combined, they are $90. In other words, if you are going to spend the $60, spend another $30 for the video editor. Even if you never make movies, Premiere Elements is excellent for "slideshows". It will read Lightroom Classic adjustment to RAWs and use them directly. Start with full sized RAWs, add titles, transitions and music. Then output an MP$ in 4K for your newer TV.

If you buy direct from Adobe, you can get a full refund for up to 30 days if you don't like it.

No, thanks very much! I have a couple of older PSE, Canon editing software that came with my printer, Nikon editing software and even one with Windows Live. The last two the most used and that not a great deal. I will pull up the ad and see what is new and if there is something that might be worth $60 to me on one of the rare occasions when I have to have a photo and didn't get it quite right.

Apparently requires Win 10 or 11. Win 7 and 8.1 unsupported, and if I understood, is suggested early Win 10 be updated. I'm out for now. Thanks for the replies, should have looked further before I posted!

If you have the Mac Monterey OS you might want to check this out regarding the last two versions of PSE,

I wouldn't expect much difference in the core functions even if the interface is better / updated and the performance on modern OS is more stable. Given your limited needs, that's just $59 toward some cc points rather than new must-have image editing capability.

I’d stick with 2015 unless you want to dive deeper into layers and such. I use 2014 and don’t have a need to go any further. At some point if you get a new camera 2015 may not recognize it’s RAW files and you’d have to upgrade for that.
