The Canon R1(40 fps-46 megapixels) destroys Sony A1
Interesting... Do you believe that one should establish their persona by the things they own?
Or by the results of the application of their skill, knowledge, and savvy in the field of their profession?
Thank you for your service to all who were under your care as a licensed Dentist (in the state of Florida?)
Those who bring the healing arts/sciences to their community are possibly the most highly respected of all.
Wishing you much success in your "Golden" years DDS/DMD LEWHITE7747
Does anyone really think that the big photo journalism outfits will now retreat from their switch to Sony??????

I thought it was a camera comparison statement (statement of comparison), an opinion.
I forgot that the journalists use Sonys.
(I guess that's how important that tidbit was to me.)

And an opinion.
Perhaps, but ineptly expressed as fact.

This is a Tony Northrup quote--just trying to see if anyone sees fit to comment. By the way it is $8500!
So, the frog had all of its teeth extracted?? Would like to see "before & after" photos of that! If the Northrups say it, it must be true! (But where is the photo of the crumpled, burnt-out hulk of the "pitiful" A1, the triumphant R1 exulting in the distance?) How 'bout we say, "Both are outstanding technological image-making devices?"
My thoughts exactly. Are these even cameras or are the more computers. Photography is becoming something else?

The proof is in the image. Where are your comparisons, where are your images showing such a claim. Otherwise, you are just another talking head with no evidence to back up your claim, just bravado.
It is a shame when amateurs come on UHH making claims about about a product being the end all to image quality.
Only professionals and advanced photographers know it is skill, knowledge, and experience that dictate image quality, not the equipment.
I hope some day grasshopper you too may learn a skill, even photography.
