Took a day off of work and went to Babcock State park in WVA. Had a Black bear run in front of my car while looking for the entrance (which, could have been marked a little better).
This grist mill is a reproduction built in 1972 using parts from other mills found in the area. It runs during the summer when the water level is high enough and they actual grind corn- mostly for novelty sales.
The trees were peaking in fall colors and several photographers were in attendance to gather their pixels.
Try it in DL mode.
Really a beautiful photo with the fall foliage. My wife and I were there in early April by ourselves and the trees were bare but I still got some nice shots. I understand that a very popular time is later in the spring when the Red Buds and Dog Wood are in bloom. Another good photo spot is New Bridge National Park that is nearby.
That is one beautiful photo!
Very nice photo thanks for sharing saying hello from Pittsburgh.
