I've been there and photographed that mill many times. It was said to be the most photographed mill in America but don't quote me as I can't remember where I read that article. Nice shot to bad the water wasn't running as that would have been a great addition.

I was mistaken on the other photo opp in the area, yes it’s New River Gorge National Park". It’s said to be one of the oldest rivers in the United States.
There is also a great bridge over the river there that’s fun to photograph.
Stunning photo, tradio. Almost looks like a painting!
Very nice image... the DL is great.

Took a day off of work and went to Babcock State park in WVA. Had a Black bear run in front of my car while looking for the entrance (which, could have been marked a little better).
This grist mill is a reproduction built in 1972 using parts from other mills found in the area. It runs during the summer when the water level is high enough and they actual grind corn- mostly for novelty sales.
The trees were peaking in fall colors and several photographers were in attendance to gather their pixels.
Try it in DL mode.

Great photo and treatment, Tradio!
Great image. In another week or so the colors will really be a sight to behold

Nice! I have a son that lives approx. 15 miles from the mill. I visit it every trip to his place and enjoy every minute of it. I have got shots from all seasons and you never get tired of it. If nothing else I enjoy chatting with all of the other photographers that show up there.
