We spent Friday and Saturday at the Ligonier Conference in Pittsburgh - the lighting in the conference room was horrendous - had to shoot mostly wide open with my 35mm lens and still contended with noise from high ISO, a very frustrating experience. However, the conference was wonderful! It was held at the Wyndam hotel and we spent the night rather than drive home. Here are some shots from our 16th floor room with apologies for the high noise in the night shot!

Here are a couple that don’t seem to fit anywhere else. The interesting squall cloud was spotted during a cruise on the Baltic. Reminded us that the ocean is large, and our ship was small.
The windmill was spotted on a cross-country road trip, out in western Nebraska somewhere. Almost the same feeling as the ocean picture: the Great Plains are big, and we are small.
Each is a sort of view of solitude.
