Good day all,
My first post here - I hope I'm doing the right thing here.
When I upload a set of photos from my RX10m4 (fantastic camera) there's usually one file that gets misnamed and without a suffix added - e.g. .jpg I look for a gap in the numbering within the set to rename the file with the correct name. Anyone else found this? And what might be the solution?
Thanks,
Boggles
My understanding of our description of the problem:
1) Occurs on an UNSTATED computer running an UNSTATED operating system at an UNSTATED version.
2) Impacts one or zero image files each upload.
3) The image file (UNSTATED format) is correct on the computer, but the name is not.
4) The image file (UNSTATED format) is correct on the card (necessary), but is is UNSTATED if the file name is correct.
You have already learned that yours is not a common problem. It is probably something that is fairly unique to your situation. If everything is correct on your cards, then it is likely some rare computer problem. If the problem shows up on the cards, then it is likely a card or camera problem. The missing details in your description may help lead to a solution.
Please provide more information:
1) State all the UNSTATEDs and correct any misunderstandings I listed.
2) Does this happen on multiple cards or just one?
3) What is the manufacturer/model of your cards and how old are they?
4) Do you format your cards in the camera or the computer?
5) Do you reformat every time you reuse a card?
6) What is the file system on the cards (e.g., exFAT)
4) Provide a real sequence of image file names that demonstrate the problem (e.g., IMG_0034.jpg, A%SG2A, IMG_0036.jpg).
