I'm not a kayaker, but I did get in one once. I was really afraid of taking my camera with me, so I left it in the truck. Your image proves that timing is everything! I wonder if running it through Topaz Sharpen would help?

Maybe. I did try to sharpen it in lightroom. Thanks for taking a look.

Don't know about that; but I am enjoying the new perspective that the kayak provides.

In this shot Erich I think sharp focus would diminish the effect. I like it just the way it is.

Yes, I was pleased enough with the timing alone to post. Thanks.

I'm not sure that sharp focus would diminish the shot; but I do think that the photo is about more than just tack sharp focus. Printed and viewed from a normal distance, the timing of the shot would still come through; and the sharpness would not be as noticeable. I agree.

Good timing has made the difference. Not sure that you didn't get the focus right, there is a bit of camera movement, always a problem when shooting from something unstable. Maybe trying a faster shutter speed would help.

Yes, the blur could also be camera movement. i had to twist, focus and go to the shutter when I saw him getting ready to cast. So, I could have moved the boat a bit. Either way, I still like the photo despite it not being tack sharp.

No questions that there was a bit of luck involved; but despite the warts, for me, this is a keeper. Thanks for taking a look.
