Seems like an oxymoron to me but thanks for the explanation.
You are correct conservative Americans are different than conservative Canadians.

You know little about either country if you think they’re so different.

They really aren’t. They have a lot of variation just as we do.

I've voted Conservative but only in Aussie. The US brand is always Jesusing-it-up and making it weird like.

Not me. I'm not a much of a church goer. That's how it is with Catholics....there's not many in the middle.
For me it boils down to a few basic things #1 of which is this notion of "income redistribution". Democrats are for the government to get involved and do (steal) the redistributioning while reminding us how righteous(tell everyone how wonderful they are helping the poor with other peoples money) they are.

There is a looming wave of AI redundancies across most skill sets, all around this small planet.

Soon 11 billion unemployed? Who buys the cheap goods and keeps things ticking over? Most nations are looking at some form of a national dole.

I read your post and I'd have to agree with Rose42. We have more in common than you let on.

Our conservatives wouldn't dare try to take away our health care and

our conservatives would rather see our government spend more of

our tax money on the people that need it here in Canada instead of

giving it away to other countries that don't really need it. Trudeau is

famous for doing Justine that.

Thanks, I listened to a bit but these days for me, if it doesn't have a fiddle, it doesn't get a look in.

I learned this one on fiddle and guitar this week.

You know, I'd move north and help you move on from Justine T. but it's already cold enough where I am. I know they say it's warmer in Quebec but I don't believe that for a Montreal minute. I'm still having flashbacks to it snowing in Nova Scotia in June....JUNE!!!!

Other than that Canada is great. A wee bit pricey but great.

I am sure most Canadians would be more than happy to

give warm Quebec to the US for free.

We might even kick in few extra dollars.
