I have one of their carbon fiber tripods. No complaints whatsoever.
Have a speedlight which is fine for the limited use. Just got a ball head which is arca swiss to replace Manfrotto head so I could use an L bracket which are almost exclusively arca swiss mount. Very satisfied both with operation and quality. Stays locked.
I have a Neewer carbon fiber tripod and am well satisfied with the quality of that product.

Just curious to know whether anyone has experience with Neewer photo equipment. Having perused their web site, I find their tripods, gimbals, ball heads etc to be rather less expensive so was wondering about quality of their products. Any experience? Satisfied customer - yes/no?
I buy their batteries and they have always been excellent. I also have a couple of flash triggers from them and they too seen very good.

I bought a Neewer product, a soft box. When I unpacked it I found that the carrying case had a tear on it that some packer did. The product itself was not damaged, just the facbric case. I notified the company and they promptly sent me another whole unit. That is standing behind your product, and I am happy to write this and let others know!

I have a Neewer tripod and it works just fine. And it cost only $80 or so. No complaints at all.

I have a couple of their tripods and am totally satisfied.
I have a studio flash & several other minor items. I don't remember ever having issues with any of them, even the older ones (brought used) :)
I’ve bought batteries, camera L brackets, carbon fiber tripods, Gimbals, etc. Returned none. I’m not saying their products are better than the expensive boys, but they are adequate for me, an amateur…

Have bought several items from them and very satisfied with their products. Looks to be on par with the old Spiratone company.
I bought a Neewer battery grip for my Lumix G9 camera. It provides all of the functionality of the Lumix equivalent at a fraction of the cost. I am very satisfied.

I have bought several Neewer items. For my protection, I almost always buy from Emily and Lily so I can get 'this side of the ocean' customer support if there is any problem. E&L does a great customer service job, if needed. (I would be more cautious about any lighting gear for concerns about correct/true degrees Kelvin color temp. Check carefully before buying - it should be important to you.)

I've been using Neewer products for about as long as they have been around, roughly 10 years, and have not had any problems with them. Many of my photo accessories are Neewer products, and as long as you take care of them, they should continue to work for you. They're not the best money can buy but, they are good products for the money, and a good way to save money. Yes, I am a satisfied customer.
I agree. Maybe not the best, but they work fine. If it is an item that you are not going to use every day, they are great. Been using them for years, never let down.
There have been generally positive responses to this inquiry about Neewer, but I will offer a counter opinion. As I understand it, Neewer makes nothing of their own; they source products from multiple factories. Some might be good, others cheap crap. It is Neewer as a marketing company that gave me a terrible experience.
My story involves a CF tripod purchased through Amazon for a photo trip. It was OK as a tripod, but it the center column would stick when trying to extend or collapse the rig. During the trip, the problem got progressively worse. After the trip, it was after the Amazon return period, so I contacted Neewer about repair or replacement, and received months of run-around. They wanted the Amazon order number before talking to me, they wanted photos, they claimed that they never heard of the problem. Each back and forth took weeks. Finally, I sent them a video of me trying to force the center column to move. After a week or so, they responded that the tripod was “within spec,” and they would do nothing to repair or replace. So much for quality control and product support.
The kicker was that after this whole thing, I came across a YouTube video review of this same tripod that discussed the exact problem that I encountered, which had been posted over a year before I had bought mine. I wish I had see that at the time! But for Neewer to say that they had never heard of this problem when in fact it had been discussed publicly seems the height of duplicity. Ergo, IMHO, the company lacks integrity, does not stand by the products it markets, and is not to be trusted.
I, personally, will vote with my dollars, and never purchase another Neewer-branded product.

My sister is a professional portrait photographer. She has been using Neewer speedlights and triggers for years and have been reliable and fit for purpose. She is happy with the performance and price point!
