Wherever this photo was taken, Northern Indiana, Pennsylvania, Southern Michigan, Ohio I imagine the horse and buggy were hitched in front of a laundromat. I have seen that several times, or a bank.

The horse and buggy were in Arthur, Illinois. It's an Amish community near where I grew up. The corn picking is in the farm community where I grew up. It's called Ash Grove. No town. Not even a corner store. We did have a local school.
