It looks like an Amish buggy in one of the Amish communities. I saw a lot of them in the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania

That's one of the many reasons I want to visit there.

Wherever this photo was taken, Northern Indiana, Pennsylvania, Southern Michigan, Ohio I imagine the horse and buggy were hitched in front of a laundromat. I have seen that several times, or a bank.

Actually, it was a hardware store. I had gone in to look for a scythe. The picture I didn't get was of a wagon load of ladies who had gone to this store.

The fields I saw in Nebraska were pivotal irrigated. Don't know if they all are.

You have to go there. They have an Amish mall there. The town is mostly Amish and really beautiful. They have and extra gravel lane on each side of the road for the Amish buggies and the Amish restaurants foods are to die for! Walmart has hitching posts. Shipshewana is the largest Amish/Mennonite community in the US. If you go to Yoder's Department store be sure to get one of their Amish made ice cream scoops. Never seen one like it and it cuts through the hardest frozen ice cream like cutting through butter. I'll have to post some pictures from there and one of my ice cream scoop! Wish I had bought a bunch of them to give to friends.

There are also a lot of Amish in mid-central Wisconsin. I vote for Marshfield WI.

There's a Yoder's restaurant in Arthur also. It is YUMMY! I'd love to see your pics if there. You should do a thread of it. I saw so many beautiful horses. One I asked and it was a Standardbred. So many were lanky with beautiful, chiseled faces.

There's no Walmart in Arthur. But if there were, they would have hitching racks. They don't have them on Main, though. Interesting.
