[quote=Soul Dr.]Have you ever used the Fuji "kit" lens. If you have never used one, you would be very surprised how well this lens does in producing professional looking images.
Just because a Leica Q2 lens costs 5 times more than a Fuji lens, doe not make it a professional lens. I'm sure amateur photographers use Leicas too.

And as far as it being a Leica built lens...

Panasonic is responsible for the design and manufacture of Leica brand lenses, but it is all subject to approval of Leica before the lens can be commercialized." "The proposed design is submitted to Leica, who then advises on changes. The process is repeated numerous times until Leica finally approves the design."Dec 1, 2015

I love Google.

In an earlier post, I stated that I had the kit lens and did not like it. I purchased Fuji prime lenses in that same range (23, 27, 50) and am quite happy with the results, I also stated that I had a Keica M6 from the film days with Keica lenses

Sorry the last post was sent before I finished. I had a Keica M6 with Leica lenses and the results were nitucabky better than equivalent Nikon film cameras and lenses. As to the Q2, I also said that I would not purchase it due to tge cost. My reference to the DLux, which I currently use often, did not state that it was better than Fuji lenses, although I stand by my earlier post that I personally did not like the Fuji kit lens BASED UPON MY EXPERIENCE with it. Perhaps you might read both the question raised in the earlier post and my response before you post a nasty response.

As a lot of others have said the Fuji image is oversaturated. I have a Leica Q along with my main Nikon gear and an Olympus. I love all my camera gear, but the Leica is the most fun to use. It’s so tactile and the controls feel really old school. Zone focusing is so easy for street photography and the fixed 28mm lens really gets you thinking about shot composition.

Even with that all it would mean is that the particular processing used was better with one sensor than the other. If someone is talking about film modes I would assume they’re shooting JPEG. Since I shoot raw I’d be more interested in how the raw files look. I shoot Nikon, Olympus & Sony, (and have shot Panasonic) and the Nikon raw files are my favorite to work with.
