I wore a uniform for eight years upholding my oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Old Glory symbolizes that oath. Whether it was my hand raised in salute when in uniform, or held over my heart as a civilian, that oath still stands. The Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem still move me.

[quote=dennis2146]I saw this the other day and thought to myself, what a beautiful photograph it would make. Of course it is simplistic in style, just as the very first time it flew. Yet it is one of the most recognized items across the globe today. I invite others to submit their photographs of the same item for all of us to see and appreciate.

Please let this post not go to The Attic.

God Bless America!!!

America is my adopted country and that flag for me is the symbol of freedom to be wherever you want to be. John

Thank you John for your comment. I know there are millions of people like you from all across the globe who see the American flag and take pride in it knowing of the freedoms it represents for those who come to America.

I love Old Glory. Thanks for allowing us to post ours.

I am pretty sure I have posted this recently. This is on a 1 lane dirt road, 6 miles long, leading deep into the woods. A clearing with a friend's home sits in a big opening at the end of it. A flag is a is placed on a tree at every mile. If you were to meet a car half way, someone would have to back up for 3 miles.

I agree with taking the good old American Flag, Just wish we all could, especially the ones who take a knee. If you don!t like her give us the money you get from her flying.
