My “go to” dealers for used photo gear:
(no particular order)
KEH
MPB
B&H
Adorama
Robert’s/UsedPhotoPro
I’ve had success and satisfaction with all of these.
You said it for me: Ditto!!
Pardon my unfamiliarity, but what does MPB stand for?

Matt P. Barker who founded the company in 2011. The company now has headquarters in Brighton, England, Brooklyn, NY and Berlin, Germany.
I too have had great success buying, selling and trading with this firm.
Have used B&H, KEH with very good results, but another vote for Roberts Used Photo Pro. Many, many transactions, all highly satisfactory.

Purchased an item for the first time from MPB. I got a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L lens. It cost $944 in “Like New” condition. It is in perfection condition and came in the box with all accessories included and the warranty card. I registered it without a problem. I am still shocked i was able to purchase what is basically a brand new lens for such a great price. It is normally $1349 new, if you can actually find one. Terrific lens at a terrific price for my EOS R5. I will definitely buy from them again.

I will only buy and sell using MPB only. Adorama is a rip off place.

For a different reason, Adorama is my company of last resort (maybe desperate)..... especially when it comes to used equipment. A little insight....

I, too, recently had an excellent experience with MPB. I sold them my camera, and they made the whole process easy. Their price was fair, and they did exactly what they said they would do.
I guess there prices are pretty good but I'm somewhat skeptical of their purchasing, for the heck of it I contacted them about buying my complete Hasselblad system , H3D II 39mp, lens. extra batteries, Imagebank, and Zero Halliburton case, they offed $1500!!!! I just purchased the body from B&H the year before for $3450. I can understand making a profit but that offer was ridiculous.

Just purchased a D500 body from MPB. In original box with all paperwork. Shutter count 3K. Like new. Great people, fair prices,.
I had a similar experience with MPB... bought an "excellent" Carl Zeiss Distagon T 35mm f/2 ZF.2 lens from them and was extremely satisfied with the condition of this lens. I would recommend MBP.com based on my experience.

Sometimes you can be fortunate. I recently had a similar experience with KEH. I purchased a "like new" Nikon
24-120 F4 for $394. New its $1,069. It can pay to shop around.
Prior to a very bad experience with trying to sell Adorama two cases of gear (they were returned after a ridiculously low offer) I had good retail experiences. The price offered for boxes of good gear was less than I got for two individual pieces sold through a local camera store, and I paid the store commission on the sale! If necessary, I would buy from them retail. Fortunately there other vendors with whom I have had only good experiences.

Adorama is definitely in my shit list for ever. I will never sell anything to them. They still asked for feedback. I really don't think the read the reviews otherwise they will change their game.
