This Sandwich was made within an hour of seeing this post from quixdraw... https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-705920-1.html .... Kudos for his Inspirational posts!

After seeing/reading his AWESOME post, I set out to try my hand with ingredients I had on hand that were similar to a point. And, while this sandwich is really not a true Cubano, there are resemblances!!

Used here are:
Smoked Pulled Pork
Pepper Bacon
Aged White Cheddar
Dill Pickle
Mayo
Dijon Mustard
Toasted Garlic Bagle from the Bagel Tree Cafe in Roseburg, Oregon. The closest really decent bagels I can find - about 80 miles away from our Beach Cabin!

~ Freaky Good Sandwich fo' sho'!! .... Whooohoo!!

Excellent, photos and food! Ranch cooking, figuring out how to make what you want to eat with what you have on hand!

Your sandwich has delicious written all over it and your pictures are excellent. I enjoy your ‘cook it, eat it and have fun’ approach to food. Your posts always make me smile. 😀

It really is worth the trouble! A very fine sandwich when done well. A great blend of flavors.

Thank you so much John!! Food is fun for me... Never a chore! My wife loves it when I take a .79cent Ramen pack and add sliced rib steak, a touch of fish sauce, green onion, mushrooms, and maybe a bit of Shichimi Togarashi! Good times!!

Whoa! I think the last Ramen Pack I bought was 39¢! I do much the same kind of thing, particularly when she is off at a seminar. Shichimi Togarashi, another new one to me. Thanks! I have most of the ingredients in the pantry.

The Shichimi Togarashi I have was bought for making Gyudon - Japanese Simmered Beef and Onion Rice Bowl. Also used with that dish is Hondashi, a fish stock product that I think is freeze-dried. The Hondashi is kept in the fridge.

The Gyudon is a fav for lunches for me - Wifie won't touch it - she won't eat the rice!!!
