Thanks, Gary. You and Joe both came to my rescue on this one. I’m half Italian and should have known the name.

Foodies never get it wrong, Joe. We just eat our mistakes. 😀

We live in Ct but I often travel to Arthur Ave. in the Bronx for lunch with a friend. I’m in big trouble if I don’t come home with a few Sfogliatella for my wife.
Personally I’m a cannoli fan

Thank you for your comment, Yorkiebyte, I appreciate it. I share the same problem. What’s the purpose of cooking and food photography if we don’t get to eat the result.

The bottom line is my mobility is limited and my hands shake. I’m going to try putting my elbows on the restaurant table and position my forearms like a tripod to support the iPhone. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try using my DSLR on a table tripod at home and shoot take-out food. This is the only hobby I have left and I’m fighting hard not to lose it.

Tiramisu is my favorite but my Mom was Italian so I’ve never tried an Italian dessert I didn’t like, including cannoli. Thanks for stopping by.

The only reason my food photography is anywhere, Ernesto, is because of you. I’ve been following your work and learning from your example ever since your very first food post.

Gracias Amigo,

John
