It has 3 lenses but no where near 10x zoom which I think it's standard on so-called bridge camera today. Also I thought the Nikon F was the bridge camera.
I use the Nikon 900 which I have heard called a bridge camera. 43X alleged to be equal to 2000 something lens.
A lot bigger than an I phone.
Maybe with a zoom lens mounted on it! Nice photos.

I have a Sony RX100 m3. When I bought the iPhone 11Pro a couple years ago, I compared the pics with the Sony versus the iPhone 11 and decided I liked the latter better. Not sure how the iPhone 12 has been improved, but yes, the iPhones are definitely capable to serve for things that are close (and some of the other phones are supposed to be even better).
PS. Even some of my pics with my older iPhones have been some of my favorites, like this one that was taken with iPhone 4 more than 10 years ago:

I agree. Your photo with the iPhone 4 is amazing. Stunning work!!

Web use? Great as almost any phone now.
Printing large? Forget it.
I used to think that way... until I saw 24"x36" prints that have been generated from phone camera images. Very impressive. They definitely were not "forget it" prints.
Pretty impressive for a phone! If the use is on line posting, tough to beat the quality and convenience.

Thanks Andy! At the time, I took it with the phone so that I could easily send it off (not have to transfer to computer etc) but was amazed how well it came out.
…I would really love a camera company to make a phone…!

Finally caved in and upgraded considering the latest upgrade offer from my carrier. Pulled it out of my pocket and captured a couple momentary images on Squam Lake (NH). These are not post-processed at all. Setting was at High Efficiency that yields a small(er) file size. Has RAW capability but seems you can't get from there to a PC, just a Mac or via ICloud. Maybe not for the purists out there but overall, not bad, all factors considered.

Well I don't know if you would count. Kyocera which used to own Contax/Yashica currently makes some phones and some of them are very simple and not even have a camera.
I went to Gettysburg a couple of months ago with a friend. I took my Nikon z50, 2 z lenses and three other lenses with the FTZ adapter. It wore me out…not only carrying it all around but trying to decide which lens to use over and over. Meanwhile my friend was happily snapping away on an iPhone and got some great photos. The third day, I left all my gear in the hotel and just used my iPhone (12 pro) and had a blast. I started rethinking everything after that because honestly this hobby that I love was not fun on that trip. It was a burden. I’m a hobbyist, self taught, not brilliant but wanting to take really good memorable photos of, well, whatever catches my eye. Just saying I would take only one lens didn’t work because I would second-guess myself and just spin my proverbial wheels around my lack of knowledge and indecisiveness. So I sold ALL my Nikon gear. Planned to just use my phone. That lasted a few weeks but the other part of my dilemma is that I simply love having a camera. A dedicated camera. Enter, the Olympus OMD 10 Mark IV with the 14-42 EZ kit lens. I LOVE this little camera. I can take it everywhere with me. It is feature-rich (including IBIS). Maybe at some point I will decide to add another lens but, for now, the one lens I have does everything I want. I am having fun working more on composition and learning the camera. Sometimes you just need a hard reset I guess. I’m using my phone camera more too because I’ve finally realized how capable it is. I don’t want to be a person buried under camera gear anymore. I just want to be a good photographer. I have a friend who uses nothing but her iPhone camera and gets spectacular results. She has a really good eye.
…I would gladly carry around a Sony RX 100 if it was also my cell phone…

I figured out that I can save to Files/Onedrive on iPhone and pick it up on my PC. The $99/year subscription to Office 365 gets 1TB Onedrive capacity. Works for me.

So now you can spend $2000 for a cell phone.
For that price, it must be really, really good.

Well I don't know! Smart Phones are more disposable to me so I don't feel paying a lot for. In fact I don't pay for a smart phone. I have the Iphone 11 but it's company issue, I don't pay for it.
