I'm not anxious to start anything political, but it appears that Kodak is kowtowing to the Chinese rulers. "The American company Eastman Kodak has deleted an Instagram post featuring images of Xinjiang, a western Chinese region where the government is accused of grave human rights violations, after an online backlash from Beijing’s supporters."
It is well-known that China continues to commit atrocities against minorities in that region. I find it obscene that any American company would allow Xi's supporters to censor speech here.

There will never be a 100% boycot but didn't most people stopped buying Kodak products a long time ago?
I still purchase several Kodak chemicals. I don’t plan on boycotting them for this.

Before we start going aboard I think we should fix things here at home first
Kodak can remove any image or post from its own Instagram account it wants to. I don't really see a problem. People remove images from their Instagram accounts all the time!

They are no longer a purveyor of goods necessary for general photographic use.

I still buy Kodachrome from them. I wouldn't boycot them though.

As I said you really can't boycot them. The few that still buy from them won't boycot them. The majority don't buy from them any more.

For those of us who still shoot and develop/print film (including movies) Kodak makes chemicals, paper and film.

If by “general”, you mean digital, that’s the case. If you mean film, not so.
