Thanks for your note. I count the Nikon F with the big box on top as part of the ugly group. On the other hand, in its time it was the choice of the great majority of professional 35mm photographers. In other uglies, I nominate the Argus C3. It may not have been much of a camera, but it made a very effective paperweight.

I have a Minolta a9 and a Maxuum 9. In the first pic the rubber around the viewfinder is mounted on the Maxuum 9, in the second pic I switched it to the a9. It's easily done, just slide it upwards to take it off. I suspect that all the Minolta 9's came with the rubber. If it's not there, then it was removed by the owner.

Don't know these cameras but I have the same setup on Nikon D750 and D7200. I am careful with my gear, but have bought half a dozen of these since they easily slip off, particularly when I'm using a long lens, and are lost. They are cheap enough, but I've gotten to the point that I slip them off and into a shirt pocket if things get hot & heavy.
