no processing does mean no flats or darks?
Hi. Not by me.
The Infinity camera stacks the images as they come in. Often I use the auto feature, but just as often I will manually adjust the Black, Middle, and White to what looks best to me.
The camera has a dark library built in.
And come to think of it, I am getting a lot of "Rainbow Sprinkles" lately and was wondering why. (Those are hot pixels appearing across the image.) So Brilliant, I may have to build a new library into the Atik software! You've sparked some ideas to get me off the fence.
I've been away from my telescope for a while (about 6 months), and I'm quite rusty. But catching up again.
I was musing over the sprinkles. And I may need to turn on some things, or rebuild some.
But a On-shot Color camera is a bit of a different animal than a Monaural camera where each color is filtered into the matrix. Many/most prefer to do the file building, and the hours after hours of post processing.
I'm different. I like OSC cameras, and manipulate the image with time. OSC cameras have the color matrix fixed and sealed into them by the factory. I can still use some filtering, and do, but it affects the entire image.
I might need to see if they have come out with an update, or remove and reinstall my software to fix it.
I've done that before, to get an uncorrupted clean program.
Mostly, I just play around at this.
