Hi all, I'm still a pretty green novice, but I'm enthusiastic (and retired, so fixed income) I have a little Nikon d3300 and love it for it's ease of use. I have a nice variety of lenses that I am able to use successfully. However, I purchased a Sigma 150-600 (see topic heading) and have had a terrible time getting a sharp focus. Apparently I need a higher end Nikon. I own an entry level Sony a230 and have a great telephoto lens that I use with it. Considering trading the Sony + lens for a Nikon that will work with the Sigma lens. Any suggestions? I'm hoping to do this in an affordable manner. Thank you.

I don't know how Sigma works, but Tamron allows you to send in the lens and camera and they will tweak the lens to your camera. They do this for free one time. I had an issue at one focal length on my Tamron SP 150-600 G2 and when I got it back they had made small adjustments for all focal ranges.
