Beautiful scenic Chile. We traveled to this exact location in 2016, and also marveled at the beauty of that mountain and waterfalls.

Went fishing in Patagonia there about 10 years ago. Fabulous place. My travel agent told me it was like a cross between Montana and Alaska, without the bears. He was 100% accurate. Every day required a jacket. Many days you shed it around mid day. Lots of rainy days.

I worked in Chile in the late '80s and traveled south a couple times (though not all the way to Patagonia). Here's a few shots of the beautiful region.

How did you get down there? As I recall, my fiancee and I took an overnight train that carried my car, as well. I'm wondering if the same service is available today.

We stopped at a lakeside lodge while driving through one of their national parks. There was an American staying there for a couple weeks who went fly fishing every day. He said he'd never seen such beautiful, large trout,

We flew from the Capital to Coyhaique, a quaint town and stayed at a lodge. Took a day trip down to Puerto Aison to visit a seaport. The area likens to the fiords of Scandinavia. Gorgeous.

Gorgeous it is. I wish I'd had time to get all the way down to Tierra del Fuego, but alas ...

Photo Number 1 brings up the old saying, "picture perfect." All your photos show you have control over coloration which helps to give a sense of place. The compositions produce a visual balance flattering to the subjects. But the first one steals the show with the foreground flowers and the snowy peak in the background. Thanks for sharing.

Totally agree!

Make it happen, Jimyo. I'm too old to do it now, but I'd love to see your pix from there. Most tourists who get to Tierra del Fuego arrive on a cruise ship, on their way to Antarctica. Nothing wrong with that, but Patagonia is spectacularly beautiful.

Thanks, Bubalola. I'd have to say it was the easiest place to find gorgeous scenic photo opportunities I've ever visited.
