I recommend that you spend at least some time in Chatham. It has a lot of the architecture that you think of when you think of Cape Cod. Lots of eye candy.
Legal Seafood in the Boston area has great food.

It was a zoo on the Cape last summer!

Moby Dick’s in Wellfleet USA good spot. Another BYO spot that you’ll wait on line to order and they bring it to your table.

And it will likely be the same this summer. Friends tell me rentals are fully booked and they’re currently short of help so it could make for stressful vacations.
Great place to start! Thanks
Definitely interested in wildlife. I’ll add the Wellfleet Audubon stop when we go up to Provincetown. We’re also going to Monomoy and the Chatham fish pier for the seals. Thanks!
We have already heard horror stories about overcrowding and especially with restaurants and their inability to hire summer help. P-town is on our list. Thanks!
We went to Bar Harbor 2 years ago and got some great shots, but missed the lobster shacks!
Lobster Pot has been added to our list, along with sunset shots at Race Point.
Thanks. We are staying across the cape in Harwichport, so getting to Dennis isn’t a bad trip. Never can have too much lobster.
Chatham was always our home base on my family trips starting in the 60’s. We lived for Chatham A’s games and days at the beach. It’s been 6 years since I’ve visited the cape, hence the request for new places to go. My main target is shooting hydrangeas, as we will be there during the hydrangea festival. Shore Drive and the Hydrangea House are at the top of my list along with several Cape baseball games. We have several paintings from Chatham artist, Deborah Hearle and Brewster artist, Tim Struna and will spend a bunch of time touring the galleries. I’ll add your sister’s to our list. Thanks for taking the time to make your great suggestions. Any other ideas you and /or your sister may have will be greatly appreciated. My email is ddeffen4@gmail.com. Have a great day!
