Thanks. Is there a spot in Elements program that I start with..i.e. enhance or layers?

Layers is the best choice you can edit each layer separately by selecting them or combine the layers first then do the editing.

Beautiful photos, as always Pat! The Fisheye is definitely a fun setting. I wish I could get up in one of the tall buildings in London, Ontario and take a few pics at night!

I have to post these 2 pictures, Pat....just so you can see that I took one similar to yours...I think we get into one another's heads sometimes! LOL! Forgive me for the quality...(it's not your eyes LOL) we on the ATV travelling at around 50km/hr trying to keep ahead of the mosquitoes! LOL!

Really like the second image Sharon..pg. 10

Recently got into macro/close-up photography, and found that f/11 seems to give me the most DOF before sharpness begins to de-grade. (all shot in aperture priority at f/11)

Great series..pg. 10

Tried some different things a little this afternoon. The first 2 are a trick Sharon showed me, but they didn't turn out like I wanted - holding the reverse end of my 50mm to the body opening. I did want to get high key. Hard to focus. Then I got the macro lens out.

Well done Pat..pg. 13

Thanks everyone for contributing to the challenge. It was fun seeing what you would try out! I think we all learned something from it...Hope you enjoyed! See you on Free Sunday! Cheers!

One of the things that I have been working very hard on is water droplets. I use a water drops system. Here are a few of my favourites! Cheers everyone and keep on clicking!

We all are guilty of not reading our manualsā€¦. Yupā€¦ me too! And I am not going to ask you read yoursā€¦. But what
I would like you to do is try different settings on your camera, iPad, i Phones, Samsung, etc. etc. Step out of that comfort zone for a couple of days! I donā€™t expect you to get real fancy or worry about mistakes. Just try out different settings. Let us know some tricks you use. It could be anything about settingsā€¦ i.e. manual, AV, special settings on your camera, etc. On your phone there are great editing settings and scene settings. My T7i has a bunch and I am just learning how to use them. (ā€œToyā€ ā€œMiniatureā€ HDR art standardā€ ā€œHDR art Vividā€ ā€œWater Paintingā€ etc, etcā€¦ Meā€¦ I usually just use ā€˜Manualā€ but I have decided it is time to step out of my comfort zone. I often use my iPhone when I donā€™t have my Canon and it is fun to play with! I also just learned how to transfer my pictures off my camera to my iPhone so I can send them off in a text if I want.
So when you post a photo just jot down what setting you used and / OR any advice on how you got the shot that you might want to share. It doesnā€™t have to be long. It will help the folks here learn something new! If there is something you want more informationā€¦just ask.
And of courseā€¦ donā€™t forget to have fun!! That is what we are here to do!
We all are guilty of not reading our manualsā€¦. Yup... (show quote)

At last, Clicker, you got me looking into the manual that didn't come with my camera. The one I had to down load or save a link to access it again. So anyway I was looking for a menu to access some of the creative features on the Sony a99 that I replaced my Sony a77 with. There were some pretty neat features on the old 77. Turns out they didn't come with the 99 But thanks anyway. At least I looked into the manual and I'm still looking. I did find some creative features to play with finally, just too late to get involved here. Still I enjoyed all the participation.

By the way Free Sunday is up for the last time before summer break. Here's a link to it.
