Trump touted the Abraham Accords as a 'new dawn' for the Middle East. 9 months later, Gaza erupted.

I don’t think anybody is saying the recent violence in the Middle East was Trump’s fault. They are saying that his “new dawn” in the Middle East was another Big Lie, and accomplished nothing to establish a real peace.

There is no reason aside from partisan hatred to blame Biden either.

No one said it was trumps fault , but it is correctly noted that his supposed peace deal accomplished nothing in the Israeli: Palestine conflict.
You can’t have a peace deal without the main protagonists being involve and he left the Palestinians out of the deal.

The same thing happened in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan government was left out of the deal.

Which proves that even the mighty U.S. cannot resolve ancient religious differences and tamper associated hostilities.

Bear in mind as well that the Palestinian Arabs suffered an injustice when the Zionists expropriated their lands and then cleansed these lands of their inhabitants to establish the modern State of Israel. These displaced Palestinians and their descendants now reside in the Gaza Strip, festering. Their hatred of the Jews goes to the bone.

News media intellectuals, diplomats, and prominent politicians may lament the situation with its hostile relations. Yet, none of these sources have devised an equation that brings a just peace to the situation.

Actually, it does work that way. The Arab nations are, by and large, tired of the millstone that the Palestinians are to them. They are also afraid of Iran and those who signed accords with Israel did so for their own safety. Trump moved our embassy to Jerusalem, recognized it as the capitol of Israel, recognized Judea and Samaria as not being Palestinian territory. He put the Palestinians on notice that they were losing ground with him and the world. Unfortunately, the Palestinians see Biden as weak, and they took the opportunity to attack. It would not have happened under Trump. In fact, have you noticed the lack of support for Gaza from the other Arab countries? Have you heard a word of support for Iranian backed Gaza from the countries that made peace with Israel?

Yes, creating a peace requires that the involved players come to the table. Trump was forcing the Palestinians to the table by taking things from them (death by a thousand cuts theory) as they resisted. Under Biden, who promised to restore funds that Trump cut from them, they feel that they don't need to be peace partners in good faith.

But go ahead, blame Biden. Why not. It suits your deification of Trump.

Hey, Trump got all the blame when he was in there. Why shouldn't Biden and the Democrats get it now, but in their case for specifically screrwing up the Middle East when it looked like for the first time in my lifetime peace had a chance.

The main players in the Middle East are not the Palestinians. The main player and disrupter of peace is Iran. And what is the first thing Biden did? He advanced appeasement towards them, the universal sign of weakness, in the form of resurrecting the terrible JCPOA deal.

And what do aggressors do when they are appeased? Look to the history of WWII.

Sorry- I disagree that Iran is the central problem in the Middle East.
Until the issue of Palestinians and Israel is solved there will be no peace in the middle east . That is the problem.

This piece obviously ignores a key piece. Biden. The Palestinians have decided to escalate now as opposed to, say, December because Biden policy has encouraged it. First, Iran has been far more able to supply insurgencies (pronounced ‘rockets’). Second, it is beyond obvious that the left’s position on Israel is tepid support at best and often is open condemnation. These two facts mean the Palestinian terrorist need not fear any American military intrusions in addition to not fearing bad press from virtually anyplace on Earth.
