National Lampoon's, Deteriorata

One of my favorite Lampoon works. When I need to piss off prudes…

Yep. And Animal House was special. It aptly skewered liberal arts college life in the mid-‘70s, despite its setting in the early’60s. I memorized so many lines from it…

OK. Old joke, but as a Catholic with lots of Jewish friends, I will make it.

How many Jewish mothers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

None! "It does not matter! They never come to visit, so I just sit in the dark! Who cares if I ever eat? What is wrong with these children!?!? In my day, we respected our grandparents and parents!!!"

As A Catholic I recognize that Jewish guilt and Catholic guilt are VERY different. Jewish guilt is very personal. Catholic guilt is more egotistical. We Catholics believe we are responsible for and (somehow) control everything. Like "If only I had put my lunch dessert money in the offertory, four million children in Biafra would be alive today!" I mean, REALLY!!???!!! I just wanted a popsicle!!! The Good Humor truck was right there!!! But NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I killed children in Biafra!!!!
I know. I am 67. I really need to let go.

Wait a minute folks! Why should we discuss changing light bulbs when everyone knows that ACME Flash Powder is far superior because of it's even, warm, and smoky lighting characteristics. You can change powder with each shot and the new "Variable Charge" feature lets you go from low to high lighting levels without messing with snarky (and confusing) exposure computations.

I've got quite a bit of it stored in my photo equipment closet, if I can just find it back here in the corner. It's a bit dark in here. Does anyone have a spare match?

Ahh, yes, the starving children in Biafra... a country that didn't even exist for three whole years... Yet parents used the starving kids argument for decades. I heard it too. It dates us...

Flash powder is DAMNED dangerous. You can make your own M-80s or cherry bombs out of that stuff! (I'm lucky I still have all my digits and both eyes...)

How about the kid who didn't like dinner and the mom says "Eat your dinner, there's starving kids in <country>."
The kid responds "Send it to them.".
