Thank you Eugene for your nice comment. It would be interesting to know how the inhabitants felt about all that splendor in these buildings. It must have been attractive, because we know that Quedlinburg had a problem assimilating all the newcomers into the town structures and very early already established a satellite city: the New Town as we have seen in the preceding post.
