Been ask, so for those who are curious, I paid $1500 for the Nikon D810.
I also wanted a battery grip but DAMN!, $426.95. Procam was selling off
their inventory of MB-D12 Battery Grips for $175. Needless to say, I bought
one and a spare battery. I called Procam and verified that this was a Genuine
Nikon MB-D12, new in the box, before I placed the order. It was ......... YES!
Congrats on your "new" toy.
But my inner teacher has reasserted itself though the layers of "retirement".
It was your "patience" that paid off by waiting, unless you are in the field of medicine of some type and the money to buy it came when your "patients" paid their bills.
Oh, I also often have the wrong word that sounds the same, my typing has gotten sloppy in retirement and "spell checker" passes it by when the typo is a real word.
And “payed” ... as in payload.
“Patience often pays off” thus
“Patience payed off” (this time.)

I love the D810 so far .............
I find the images far clearer and the colors far brighter than the D750 ever produced.

Nah, just something to help you unburden yourself, so to speak.
You didn't include the price you paid for it. We are curious how much of a bargain you got.
