That was my picture of the bobcat. Initially, I mistook it for a juvenile mountain lion. Others corrected it to a bobcat.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the dark colored vertical stripes in it's ears. Just like the ears of the bobcat image that someone posted.

Most likely a fox. Mt lion ears are rounded and their nose is much flatter than this. Maybe it's a neighbor's dog. Great photo from a phone.

The way I perceived the picture I did not see a pointy nose and immediately thought it was a young or baby mountain lion. Bob cats have tufted ears and I don't see those in the picture. Maybe a hybrid domestic cat. If you saw it from the side and saw a pointed nose I would vote for fox. Are the puma and bobcat native to your area?

Phone cameras routinely do a lot of enhancing, and maybe manipulation, and can make Popeye look like Brad Pitt in order to please the shooter so I don't put much stock in what I see coming out of a phone.

Bobcats?... Yes. Pumas, cougars or mountain lions (all the same critter) once upon a time long ago but are being seen here again in the last few years. I’m convinced it is a fox. Neighbors are reporting seeing a cute fox running around.

So, just to clarify, did you see it from the side and could confirm the long nose? If so.I agree with you that it is a fox.
Thanks
